IAC supplies a wide range of baghouse dust collector filter cage configurations. Common wire cage constructions consist of 10, 12, or 20 vertical wire stringers. Standard horizontal ring spacings are 4”, 6” or 8”.
Baghouse filter cages provide support to your filter bags, and can affect the baghouse’s dust collection efficiency. If filter bags are not fitted to the wire filter cage properly, or if wire filter cages are not replaced when they become rough or rusty, the efficiency and service life of the filter bag media will be reduced. Regular preventive maintenance that includes inspection and replacement of damaged filter cages keeps baghouse dust collectors running efficiently and saves major baghouse repairs in the future.
